We would like to make patients aware of a scam text that is being sent involving invitations to have a Covid vaccination.

People are receiving a text purporting to invite them to their Covid-19 vaccination and when they click the link, it takes them to a website and asks for payment/bank account details.

An NHS organisation would never do this. You will never be asked for your card or bank details to receive a Covid vaccination or to prove your identity.

If you receive this text, please delete it and do not follow the link. This is a despicable scam preying on the vulnerable – please make your family/friends aware of this also – especially those who would be expecting to be called for their vaccination.
