How Do I Make an Appointment?

To make an appointment please visit our consulting room. 

On The Day Appointments

If you need an appointment on the day, please telephone the surgery before 14:00 to make your request so that the appointments can be triaged.

The request will be triaged by the duty doctor and subsequently a member of the practice team will ring you back with advice and/or an appointment.

Alternatively you can use our eConsult facility or, if it is a non-urgent request for sick notes/test results, you can ask reception.

Urgent Appointments

We have updated our appointments system as of December 2018. To ensure urgent appointments are distributed fairly, urgent appointment requests will be triaged by the duty GP and we will call you back with advice and/or an appointment. Routine appointments are released Monday-Friday. If you wish to arrange a pre-bookable appointment please contact the surgery to request a routine appointment.

Alternatively, we offer Patient Access which enables patients to book appointments online as well as a range of other services.

Doctors’ Appointment Times

Doctors’ appointments are available:

Monday to Friday between 09:00 – 12:00 and 15:30 – 18:00

Nurses’ Appointment Times

Nurse appointments are available:

Monday 08:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 18:00

Tuesday 08:00 – 18:00

Wednesday 08:00 – 16:00

Thursday 08:00 – 16:00

Friday 08:30 – 18:00

Enhanced Access

We offer routine evening and weekend appointments both here at Haydock Medical Centre and at Albion Street.

These can be booked at the practice or by ringing this number: 01744 673807. This line is open 24 hours a day.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Persistent failure to keep your appointment may result in you being removed from the practice list.

Extended Hours Appointments

Haydock Medical Centre will be offering the following appointments on a weekly basis:

Monday – 19:30 to 20:45
Tuesday – 18:30 to 19:30
Thursday – 19:15 to 22:00
Sunday – 10:15 to 13:15

The appointments will be held at Vista Road Surgery, Vista Road, WA12 0ED
